At Nurturing Little Seeds Family Resource Center, our Certified Child Passenger Safety (CPST) Technician provides personalized car seat education, inspection, and installation assistance to help families travel safely and confidently.

During your appointment, we'll work with you to ensure your child's car seat is appropriate for their age, height, and weight, and that it is installed and used correctly.

Our Services Include

  • Car seat safety inspections

  • Hands-on installation assistance

  • Education on proper harness fit and adjustment

  • Guidance on rear-facing, forward-facing, booster seats, and seat belt readiness

  • Expiration date and recall checks

  • Assistance installing multiple car seats

  • Caregiver education so you can confidently reinstall your car seat when needed

  • Recommendations based on current child passenger safety best practices

What to Expect

Each appointment is one-on-one with a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and typically takes 30–60 minutes, depending on your family's needs. Services are provided by a nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety (CPST) Technician following current child passenger safety best practices.

Our goal is to teach caregivers how to correctly install and use their child's car seat—not simply install it for you. By the end of your appointment, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to keep your child riding safely.

Before Your Appointment

Please bring:

  • Your child (if possible)

  • The vehicle the car seat will be used in

  • The car seat and all parts

  • The car seat instruction manual, if available

  • Your vehicle owner's manual
